Ombre Powder Brows & Hairstroke Care

• You may come in with your brows drawn, eye make up on so we may have a vision of your own style.

• If using any type of Accutane, you must stop topical application at least 6 months prior and internal dosage (pills) for at least a year before services. Failure to do so can cause severe scarring.

• No brow serum, discontinue at least 6 months prior your appointment

• Avoid scheduling your appointment on or around your menstrual cycle. Bleeding is more likely to occure due to hormones changes.

1 month before:

• No chemical peel. It is recommended that you ask your esthetician or dermatologist when they feel it is safe for you to get your brows done.

• No Cosmetic botox or fillers. Do not get any botox or fillers between your initial appointment and your perfecting session

2 weeks before:

• No skin thinners and lighteners (vitamin A, vitamin C, retinol, glycolic acids, alpha hydroxyl)

• No Tanning

3 days before:

• No blood thinners before your procedure (caffeine, smoking, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin E, Omega 3)

• No tinting, waxing

Lip Blush Care

• Exfoliate your lips 3 days before your appointment, then keep them extremely moisturized with a non-petroleum chapstick at all times up until your appointment.

• Cold sores are a risk of lip blush tattoo. If you have had a cold sore in the past, we advise you to go to the doctor for an antiviral medication before any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak. Even if you have not had a cold sore before, we recommend all of our clients take L-lysine 2 weeks before the appointment and 2 weeks after the appointment to reduce the risk. You can also pick up Abreva, an over the counter treatment for cold sores to use after the procedure.

• No Caffeine for a few hours prior your appointment

• Avoid eyeliner & mascara waterproof makeup around eyes for at least a week prior your appointment. They will reduce the retention if left on.

• If you have NON-waterproof makeup on, please come a few mins early so we can help you to wash them off.

After Care

Ombre Powder Brows & Hairstroke Care

Each individual may heal differently and healing time may vary. Remember the permanent make-up is made to enhance your features not to replace make-up. In each procedure, the appearance of your pigment will be darker than the final results. We suggest waiting at least 30-60 days for full healing before any touch-ups.

• Keep the area clean. Blot or rinse off oozing

• No scrubbing. Do not rub, wipe, or scratch the area. Use patting motions only.

• Soap/ cleansers may be used as long as they are not alcohol-based and do not have anti-ageing acids or acne acids in them.

• Keep moist with healing ointment at all times while outer healing occurs(3-5 days eyes, 7-10 days lips)

• Clients do best with water-soluble or non-comedogenic/pore-clogging products that let the skin breathe.

- Use healing ointment continuously throughout the day until outer healing is complete. Apply an antibiotic ointment twice a day for 2-3 days.

- Keep in mind antibiotic ointment is more likely to cause a red itchy reaction with prolonged or continuous use.

- Recommendation: Bacitracin, A&D, Aquaphor, GenTeal PM Ointment, or lip balm. GenTeal_PM makes a great healing ointment after permanent eyeliner because it is ophthalmic/ safe for eyes- you can also put some of it in the eyes if they dry and irritated. GenTeal is preservative-free. (Remember to read directions)

• Treated area must remain dry, cover with a watertight bandage while showering.

• Do not expose the area to the full pressure of the shower. Clean it and keep ointment on it. Scabs the dry out take longer to heal off.

• A permanent makeup procedure is the equivalent of a skin-deep wound, a scab may form over the treated area in 3-7 days and fall off.

• It is very important not to pick or pull at the scab; this will increase the risk of scarring and prolong recovery.

• You may cool the skin a few times after a permanent makeup procedure with a cold pack for 10 mins for every couple of hours on the first day. Don’t overdo it. Inappropriate/ overuse of the ice packs on fragile facial skin may cause cryotherapy complications.

• Avoid strenuous activity for 2 days.

• Do not compress your face in a pillow while sleeping, especially the first couple of days.

• Use of sunblock after healing is completed will help prevent premature fading.

• Do not apply swim in fresh, salt, or chlorinated water for 2 weeks. Avoid environments that would cause dirt or germs to contact the area while healing.

• Do not apply topical cosmetics over the area while healing.

• If no allergies, ibuprofen may be used to reduce swelling and discomfort. If another medication is desired it is best to consult with your physician.

• Notify permanent makeup artist or physician at the first sign of allergic reaction or infection. If you suspect a problem is developing, the first thing to do is switch the type of ointment you are using. The ointment is often causing the problem. An occasional slight healing itch is normal. Constant intense itching, abnormal thick yellow discharge, yellow crust, hot burning pain, lumps, bumps, and blisters are not normal.

Healing Process. What to expect:

Lip Blush Care

Keep your lips moist with a non-petroleum chapstick at all times. Use a clean q-tip to apply the chapstick so that you avoid infection and also to prevent spreading a cold sore virus if one appears.

Avoid wine, acidic, salty & spicy foods, coffee or other food and drinks that may stain the lips until fully healed.

Gently clean your lips with water after eating. - Do not scrub, rub or pick at the epithelial crust (scabs) that form. Allow these to flake off by themselves. If removed before they are ready, the pigment underneath may be pulled out. - For lips, it is advised to not use any makeup on them for at least 4 weeks after your final session. Doing so can interfere with your PMU on your lips and may change the color. It is best to purchase new makeup if possible, to avoid contamination or bacterial infection.

Avoid sun exposure, including tanning, saunas, & working out for approximately two weeks or until all scabs have fallen off.

Always use suncreen after the scabs have fallen off.

Tanning will fade your PMU faster and may discolor it, even if you cover the area as UV rays are absorbed and flow throughout your body.

The Healing Process: What to Expect

It is important to note that this is an estimated timeline. Don’t get too hung up on the days. Also, lips can be unpredictable - some clients may heal with a lot of pigment retention, some clients may yield very little pigment retention.

Lash Extension

• Keep your Eyelash Extensions dry for 4-6 hours after your appointment.

• Wash your lashes daily (after the initial 4-6 hours). Apply oil-free makeup remover with your fingers, rubbing gently down the lashes.

• Oil WILL breakdown the adhesive and you will have lash extension loss.

• Rinse your lashes every morning to get any debris, and oil off of them.

• No perming the lashes!

• No saunas, facials, or swimming within 4-6 hours of application.

• Do not use Eyelash Curlers or Mascara.

• Brush your lashes daily.

• Do not use false lash strips on top, if you do this, the adhesive gets stuck in your lashes and your extensions must be removed and reapplied.

• We recommend using a sealant at the base of your extensions before swimming, working out, or other activities that get your lashes wet or make you sweat.
